The Hunter Valley…
More than just wine!

Holiday here this year

Bookings essential

At this time it is essential to pre-book wine tastings, restaurants and other activities to enjoy during your stay in the Hunter Valley.

Wine Tasting

Misty Glen is within a short drive, walk or bike ride of many highly regarded cellar doors and is on the renowned Around Hermitage Wine and Food Trail.

We recommend that you visit our friends at Tintilla Estate, Glandore Estate, Mistletoe Wines, Degen Estate, Ironbark Hill Brewhouse.

We are happy to help organise your self drive tour or suggest that you book a tour with Two Fat Blokes Gourmet Tours, Hideaway private tours  or hire an electric bike from Sutton Estate.

Concerts and Events

The Hunter Valley is famous for its open air concerts during the Spring and Summer. There are many other events throughout the year such as June’s Hunter Valley Wine and Food Festival,  markets and seasonal events at the Hunter Valley Gardens such as the Rose Spectacular and Christmas Lights Spectacular.

Keep an eye out for details on Around Hermitage’s 1st Release Wine Week.

Misty Glen is 5 minutes from the venues of Bimbadgen, Hope Estate and Roche Estate and on the Rover Coaches shuttle bus route.

Where to Eat

There are several restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive of Misty Glen to suit all budgets and tastes. Some of our favourites are Restaurant Botanica, Amanda’s on the Edge, Yellow Billy, The Mill, Baumé at Ben Ean, Muse Kitchen and many more.

Local produce cheeses and antipasto can be purchased at the Smelly Cheese shop and Two Fat Blokes Gourmet Deli.  There are several shops selling handmade chocolates, jams and various ranges of olives & olive oils. Basic provisions can also be purchased at the General Store at Pokolbin Village.

Other Highlights

How about:
A round of golf at the Vintage or Cyprus Lakes.
